Michigan is dramatically underrated, and we’ve been quiet about it for too long.
Michiganders build things that impact the world. Saran Wrap. Styrofoam. Ziploc bags. Flannel. Snowboards. Techno. Google. Carta. Cars. Roads. Traffic lights. Fiber optics. Rare earth magnets. The list goes on.
There was a stretch where Michigan fell down and had to learn how to pick itself up. It did. The rest of the country hasn’t fully caught up to that fact yet. The talent and companies are here. Our capital is, too — it just hasn’t been applied properly yet.
That’s the gap Tuebor closes. The pledge isn’t complicated: just back at least one Michigan business a year, every year. What makes it powerful is what it names — Michiganders need to back Michiganders. We need to have conviction in the people of our state, our fellow Michigan men and women.
Tuebor is a fitting word for this pledge. It starts with us. Michiganders backing Michiganders to accelerate our state’s rise to greatness. I will defend. Will you?
